A little overboard

On MSN I found this news article:

"C2 offers about half the
carbohydrates of original cola
Coca-Cola is hoping to get the jump on carb-concerned consumers with its carb-limited new drink, C2. Rival Pepsi is hoping for the same with its new drink, Edge."

What the hell are people thinking when they CUT the Carbs out of their diet..You can lose weight just as good or better by doing the low fat thing..I did..i lost 70 pounds in 8 months...not tooo fast but at a good enough rate..it can be done..and you don't have to sacrifice your cholestrol being so high..Yes I admit i tried the atkins diet and would NOT recommend it to ANYONE..let me tell you why...one, YOu get really depressed b/c you have Absolutley NO engery and 2, Your Cholestrol will easily go beyond 200 b/c of all the Fat you eat. mine did.
So I went to a Weight Management program at the hospital here and lost 70 pounds by simply cutting back on my fat and using the food pyrimid. Now my Cholestrol is 149..Carbs is Essential part of weight loss in that it gives you energy to excerise more consistantly. On the Atkins you get tired out by just living, and your body doesn't feel like doing anything more. When you have Carbs in your diet, you have energy (Carbs=Energy)

I'm So Frickin' tired of seeing all this "low-Carb" stuff....When will people stop abusing their bodies!

GRR..this just peeves me off.

OMG..Justin and Antonio Holding hands at the movies! ??

"Despite his tough guy persona, Antonio Banderas is just a big ol' softie.
The actor, whose adorable Puss-in-Boots character walks away with "Shrek 2," was apparently comforted by Justin Timberlake
when he got emotional during a screening of the animated film at Cannes. "I was crying at the end," the London Sun quotes Banderas as saying.
"It was funny because there is a very romantic moment at the end of the movie. My character says, 'I want to cry,' and I was crying. Cameron [Diaz] and Justin were next to me and he said,
'I'm crying, too.' So we held hands for a while. Cameron was just looking at us, thinking, 'What are they doing?'"

Hmmm, what is more stranger than 2 straight guys holding hands????

Not Doing This week's Whatever Wednesdays.....

Because I feel the questions are TOO CONTROVERSIAL talking about What I believe God is or isn't...and all that stuff..and I don't like to get in a tiff with any of my Online friends on WHAT I BELIEVE>..I hold what i believe Dear to me but I don't "PUSH" religion in ANY WAY down ANYONE'S throat...I refuse to do so..so I wish not to talk about that here....

So I'm OFF TOMORROW. I got to go the DR's and Do all kinds of blood work for my physical which is Tuesday..I have to fast so its no more eating for me tonight! hehe

We had our Company PICNIC today but it was more like a buffett inside during lunch with an extra 30 minutes to sit, enjoy and eat....it wasn't outside or nothing and no games where played...and WHOPPIE DO they gave us a MIKASA beer mug like IF i was to drink would i want to be constantly reminded of work? Speaking of the terrors..my son has been expelled from Pre-K! He is turning out to be just like the rest of this damn family! I'm going to have to try to straighten him out NOW before its TOO late!! I hope it already isn't too late...I can't believe he was picking on a girl at school and acting really Uncontrolable Today. I swear I believe he has Bipolar as well...maybe thats his problem..but the DAMN Doctor won't do anything about it until he is 6 years old.....DO i have to put up with 2 more years of Hell and him not learning!!???I'm seriously thinking of switching his doctor.....one that will DO something about his behavior instead of saying Oh thats normal..its NOT normal for a 4 year old to get kicked out of school...i'm sorry...
Well i mean there is ONLY 3 days left of his school for the year but still the fact remains....SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!
Okay I don't know what else to put on here as my mind is filled with Motherhood Angst.

Does anyone have any advice they could give me about getting him tested properly NOW and not wait until the magical age of 6!

An Article I recently Read.....

Today's hip, metrosexual men embracing their feminine sides
BY MARY ETHRIDGE
Knight Ridder Newspapers
AKRON, OHIO--Men.

Just when you think you have them figured out, they surprise you.

"I love to shop," said David Raymond, a nattily dressed, 23-year-old Akron man. "If I'm down, it makes me feel better."

Talk about your gender benders. What's next? Men lusting for chocolate and fretting about their jiggly thighs?

Well, maybe, if the marketing gurus and researchers out there are right.

Today's men, particularly young men, are embracing their feminine sides, experts say. They're seeking sleek electronics, the right face cream and an honest manicurist.

"It's a social evolution," said Candace Corlett of WSL Strategic Retail, a consulting firm in New York.

There's even a name for this category of guy -- metrosexual. He's a man who's not afraid of Celine Dion or a little hair gel.

Although he's heterosexual by definition, he can jam the most astute observer's "gaydar."

"Oh, a lot of guys hit on me, but I'm not interested -- at all. I have a girlfriend," said Raymond, who is a salesman for a wireless phone company. "They think because I dress nice I must be gay."

The ranks of metrosexuals include Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Johnny Depp. British soccer star David Beckham, who's been known to sport pink nail polish, is considered a poster boy of the group. Some say even former President Bill Clinton can be put in the metrosexual category.

Although lifestyle and fashion trends usually start on the country's coasts and move inward slowly, many business owners say they've already seen the shift.

"Men are definitely paying more attention to the way they look," said Rick Lucas, who owns A White Pond Paradise spa in West Akron with his wife, Patty. "Once they get over their little phobia of going to a spa, they realize everything they've been missing."

Mike Gaylord, an owner of the Ticknor's men's clothing store chain, believes that men are taking more care with their appearance because they must.

When business casual arrived at the workplace, the rules of office wear went out the window.

"It was easier to dress in the old days. There was a uniform," Gaylord said.

"Now men just don't know what's appropriate and how to put it together."

Gaylord believes that part of the metrosexual trend can be attributed to the popular Bravo television show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," during which gay men make over a sartorially challenged straight man.

"I learned to put my hair gel on from back to front because of that show," said Gaylord with a laugh.

A survey by Jericho Communications, a public relations firm in New York, found on the day after "Queer Eye" aired, men were five times as likely to go shopping as women, and sales of hair products and men's underwear more than tripled.

Corlett of WSL doesn't dispute the popularity of the show, but says it's simply reaching a market that was already there, not creating one.

"This social evolution isn't influenced by a TV show," Corlett said. "It's much deeper than that."

Corlett believes that young men, many of whom were raised by working mothers, don't have the same preconceptions of gender roles as previous generations. They are also more comfortable shopping because they did so frequently growing up. Mom wasn't always around to buy their underwear.

Men are also marrying later and not depending on a woman to shop for them, said Linda Tuncay, a doctoral student at the University of Illinois who is writing her dissertation on men's changing shopping habits.

"They're used to handling shopping themselves," she said.

Men are getting out to the store more. Four out of 10 men make four or more weekly shopping trips. They shop at supermarkets almost as often as women and significantly more than they did even a year ago, the study showed.

"This is the new-age male shopper," Corlett said. "He still goes to home-improvement stores, but he's not afraid to venture into a feminine enclave."

My opinion~
Good For men! thats great that they are taking better care of themselves and Doesn't need a Woman to do the shopping for them. I Lust after such men but still I prefer the Helpless ones as well..What do you think?

GRRRRRRRR...I WANT TO SCREAM AND YELL SO BAD...

Well I bought a digital/ web cam combo thing and I pluged it into the USB port and it says my connection failed!! GRRR. I just don't know what to do....I think i'm going to have to hook up my old Webcam and sale this one or something b/c I can't get it too work..times like this I wish I had a Computer Knowledgable man around the house.
I almost LOST it today.I had to put the babies to bed early b/c I just couldn't take it anymore. I thoiught I completely screwed up my computer b/c i couldn't get it to connect on the internet then something told me to restart it..well it froze so i had to manually click the power off and then back on and the internet is back up and running...Now, To figure out this damn Digital Camara i bought today. If anyone can come over here and plug it in for me....I'll buy you lunch.

Recent News....and all that jazz

Okay I noticed I haven't posted anything New in my blog so I figured I would.
I've been so Sickly lately I can't describe it but I'm sure my boss is getting tired of me whinning about how sick i feel..Everyday its something new and different. Today it was a toothache and I chipped my front tooth this morning not bad enough to cause pain just enough to get on my nerves! My mom said its probably due to lack of calcium seeing that I NEVER drink Milk nor do i take supplements and I'm not too crazy about yogurt or cheese products either!
I've been eating a ton of apples lately so maybe all the biting and chomping on apples made it chip. Or maybe I grined my teeth (like usual) last night and that piece of tooth just couldn't take it anymore.

I haven't been Online nearly as much because I noticed how slow my computer is..Seriously thinking about trying to get another one ALREADY and I just got this thing this past January. *LOL* maybe I just need more RAM. I think so i have the Dell 2400. (EL CHEPO) and I seriously want the XPS model.
I think thats what its called anyway.
Whatelse?
Hmm ,
I'm no longer dating anyone (again) but this breakup was far much easier than the last, He handled it like a MAN and was up front and honest with me (like I like) Unlike all the Scotts in the world *LOL* I took a VOW NEVER to date anyone else with the name of SCOTT. SO help me GOD. I've had 3 breakups with a SCOTT in the last 2 years and they where BAD very bad breakups. Very CHILDISH breakups. They where all CHICKENSHIT too...
Okay enough about that....
:) So nina, how can I become a member of Breedster? I have nothing else better to do with my freetime *LOL*
